While the acronym “CFO” is readily recognized as the Chief Financial Officer of a company, many people do not understand the term CIO, which is Chief Information Officer. The purpose of these roles is to support the vision of the corporation. The CFO is charged with ensuring that the capital, open lines of credit, and other financial instruments are properly managed to enable the company to achieve it’s vision. Similarly, the CIO’s mandate is to provide strategic direction and to manage the people, systems, and processes required to run all the computer systems effectively, enabling to company to profitably leverage their investment in Information Technology.
Realistically, small businesses simply do not have the scale to afford such a role. As a result, they tend to provide little management for the person or people managing their network, and often neglect the strategic attention and planning required.
We consider this role to be instrumental in helping you achieve your vision for your company. To enable your success, we team you with one of our senior partners to act as your CIO.
