How Will You Contact Your Employees?

Hey y'all,  I know we talked a lot about business continuity planning. Right now, I just want to focus on your employees because remember, if I can get your employees back to work, then you're able to serve your clients and stay viable and functional in business. You should be at least annually double checking and making sure that you have contact information, the address of where your employees live.

You should be able to have contact information and names for the spouse or next of kin. All the basics on how to reach somebody. Next thing you should have is, you should assume communications will be out or very patchy. If that's the case, I may not be able to give my employee a call.

But, what we could do is we could have a person maybe out of the area. It could be a mailbox system that's set up. There's multiple ways to go, but let's just go with a person out of the area. If I have a friend of mine in Texas who's willing to take calls, they can be the operator who's taking messages back and forth.

They can call that resource, let them know now when I call in, or when my boss Jon calls in, he'll know, hey, Dave's okay, cross him off the list, or at least we have an update as of this time. Think about something like that for your communication strategy to make sure you can stay in touch with all your staff.
