Hi. Good to be back with you. I got three more things to share with you regarding why you should patch your systems. You know, this one comes up after a conversation I had with Jon just the other day when we were talking about patching all of your systems. And he said, you know, you didn't really talk about downtime at all.
And I said, well, actually, I've got three other reasons, and downtime is one of them. So let's jump into it real quick and see why. The last three reasons you should be upfitting all of your systems on a regular basis. One of them is to reduce downtime. We're trying to prevent problems from creeping up, and those things bite you in the butt and they bite it right out of your wallet.
They take money from you because you're down dealing with a problem, suffering with it. If you would just patch on a regular basis, you would eliminate a good number of those problems. Here's another one for you. Protection for others. Now, that's one people don't think about a lot, but if you aren't protected, you become a vector of attack to attack someone else on your network. That could be your family member at home. That could be your coworker at the office. So protecting other people by staying secure yourself by being patch and updated. Good move for you.
And lastly, if you haven't figured it out already, all of these things are gonna drive a cost savings to you. Why? Because we're looking to avoid downtime. When we avoid downtime. We avoid downtime from others. You avoid the big cost of cleaning up after an attack. Three great reasons for you to consider patching your systems.
