Folks, there are so many ways the bad guys are trying to steal the money outta your wallet. I'd love to give you three more ways to watch, to protect, to keep you and your stuff safe. The first, you'll likely get a request for payment. That's always a, a big sign that the bad guy maybe wanted to poke his hand into your pocket.
So what do you do? Well, what I would do is if I have a request from PayPal, for example, to go ahead and pay for something, I'm gonna log into the PayPal site myself, handle it that way, rather than clicking on the link. If you can all avoid that, you'll probably save yourself some heartache.
Something else you ought to be looking for is email footers. Now, what are those? That's the bottom of the email. All legitimate emails are gonna have a footer at the bottom that describes where this is coming from, and most importantly, how to contact them if you have any questions. Take a look at that, and if you're missing that, you probably wanna just dump the email altogether as it's gonna be bogus.
The last one I want you to keep your eyes open for is look for impersonalization of trusted sources. For example, the major vendors that you probably work with, Amazon, Verizon, Bank of America, et cetera, those are also vendors that the bad guys like to impersonate, to duplicate, to fake. Why? Because they're so popular. They're such large vendors.
I trust this really helped you, and if it has. Please share it with someone else to help your friend as well. Thanks.
