One of the cool things about tech and IT is that it can be digested in bite size chunks.
Just like a piece of pie. And since it's 'that time of year', let's talk about this 'tech pie'.
For example let’s say your South Florida company already has an internal IT guy.
You like him and he does a good job.
But at the same time…
He’s super busy.
And certain things just aren’t getting done.
It doesn’t make sense to hire a second guy because it’s too expensive.
Here’s What You Can Do.
Define the tech tasks that he’s responsible for.
Then divide them up.
Then figure out what tasks can be outsourced and/or automated.
If you need some help let our tech team know.
You can take something like security for example.
There are several items that can be outsourced or automated.
You can also outsource things like backups or help desk.
You can even just outsource to someone to automate tech tasks.
One Piece at a Time.
By outsourcing a piece of your IT guys tasks/time 'pie', you’re able to do more with the IT in your business.
When it comes to business technology, the idea is to work smarter not harder.
Outsourcing your tech makes sense.
Unless your internal IT guy is cagey and doesn’t play well with others.
Then you have a different problem altogether.
So while I’m a big proponent having a company using a full-service IT company.
There are times when all that your company needs is a few pieces of the tech pie.
Don’t be afraid to think outside of the box when it comes to the tech in your business.
Working smarter, not harder is the goal.
