The IT Basics: Outdated Equipment Dragging You Down

Most of us don't recognize that in today's world, computing equipment has a lifespan. And whether you say that's three, four or five years, I'd give you any of those and let's move on. But when I've got a piece of equipment that's running around eight years. And my CFO is running on that equipment. I'm like, you're paying one of your highest-paid resources, a salary to work on a piece of old equipment that's slowing them down.

It's costing you so much money. And yet most of us, we just don't recognize it because we think if it ain't broke, don't fix it. And so these are all basic things, the basic fundamental things that we have to go ahead and take a look at. It's just, and oftentimes I would say, It's crossed people's minds within the organization, but no one's actually done something about it. We're going to do something about it.
