Your Critical Systems Identification

  • January 8, 2025

One of the interesting aspects of a disaster recovery plan is identifying the key systems and data that needs to be functional immediately after a disaster, within a short period and a longer period after disaster. So there's prioritization that's given to these things. That is actually set and done in most compliance frameworks in the asset and data identification, which is one of the very first steps that we do in following a compliance framework.

And so when you are preparing your planning, one of those key things is going to be to identify the data and the systems that need to be up immediately,  24 hours later, 72 hours later and et cetera. So you understand what systems to focus your time and attention to, to bring them back online, to restore them, to provide the systems back for your staff and for your clients.
